Important Rental Policies & Fine Print
- Lawn Preparation Mandatory: For maximum results, the lawn must be mowed low (around 1 to 1.5 inches) and thoroughly core-aerated or power-raked to remove old, thick thatch debris before running the slit seeder.
- Obstruction Warning: Mark all hidden property hazards—such as shallow irrigation sprinkler heads, dog fence lines, invisible wiring, or protruding tree roots—prior to your rental window. Slicing blades will damage shallow utilities.
- Clean Hopper Policy: The seeder is provided fully clean and must be returned completely free of residual grass seed and debris. A cleaning fee will apply if the seed box gate is left packed with seed.
- Lifting & Vehicle Loading: At ~190 lbs, this unit requires two people or a loading ramp to lift safely into trucks or trailers. Do not transport it on its side to avoid engine oil leaks.
- Fuel Requirements: Runs on standard unleaded regular pump gasoline. Provided full and must be returned full to avoid refueling charges of $5/gallon.
